Supporting the academic, social/emotional and financial needs of East Vancouver youth on their path to post-secondary success.
OUR MISSION
Founded in 2001, Vancouver Homework Club, working at Britannia Secondary, supports the academic, social and developmental skills of East Vancouver elementary and high school students by providing qualified tutors; a warm, inviting supervised room for students to study after school hours; and active support and advocacy for students both in and out of school.
Academic
Vancouver Homework Club Society provides free tutoring to students at Britannia Secondary who need additional academic support. Our skilled tutors cover a wide range of subjects including Sciences, Humanities and Modern Languages. We also offer seminars on study habits, essay writing, and provincial exam preparation.

Social/Advocacy
Vancouver Homework Club Society provides a place for students to connect with friends and with supportive adults; a place to feel safe and comfortable; and a place to receive mentoring in life skills, careers and post-secondary educational opportunities. In addition, we support students in problem solving within the school and the broader community.

Financial
Vancouver Homework Club Society provides bursaries and scholarships to support post-secondary education for students who might not otherwise qualify for financial support. Financial stress is the single most common reason vulnerable students aren't successful in completing post-secondary.
